Growing Together in the Light

A place for Friends and others to explore Quakerism. A place where, in the Light that comes from God, we may all grow and where we may hope to find a unity that underlies our diversity of language.

A pebble in a pond

The speaker rose and spoke out of the immediate inspiration of the Holy Spirit and gave forth a message which included a reminder that our lives touch so man others in ways that we cannot know. It is like a pebble thrown into a pond and the ripples move out in ways we cannot know...

The curmudgeonly Quaker sat in a back bench and began to pray:

"How long, oh Lord, how long
can we keep throwing pebbles into this pond
before it fills up with stones."

Smiles and blessings to all.
